The Do’s and Don’ts
Before getting started, become familiar with the proper PPE, use sites and application practices of each product to ensure you’re using each of them correctly.
Method® 240SL herbicide
Method® 240SL herbicide provides strong tree and brush control that fits the needs of your operation with a customizable blend.
// Do NOT use within the root zone of desirable trees or vegetation
// DO use as part of a custom blending solution for improved accuracy when mixing
// DO apply to autumn olive, Baccharis, box elder, Brazillian pepper, buckthorn, Callery pear, hackberry, sugarberry, huisache, loblolly pine and mesquite
Escort® XP herbicide
Escort® XP herbicide offers better control using only a few ounces, so you can efficiently manage hard-to-kill brush.
// DO apply through tank-mixing and custom blending to broaden the tree and brush control spectrum
// DO apply to ash, elm, black locust, eastern red cedar and willow
When to Treat
Basal and stump application with Method 240SL can take place any time of year, except when snow or water prevents treating to the ground line of the stump or brush/tree trunk.
Low-volume, high-volume and aerial foliar treatments with Method 240SL and Escort XP are made in the spring/summer months with good plant coverage to the leaves and addition of an MSO at 1% v/v providing the best results.
Work with your Envu rep to assess your needs to develop a specific treatment plan that controls hard-to-kill brush while focusing on the long term. Always refer to the product label for necessary PPE, use sites, and specific application instructions.
