Systemic control of Phytophthora and downy mildew

Aliette® is fully systemic, providing protection of the entire plant from downy mildew, Phytophthora and Pythium. It also controls Fire Blight and suppresses certain pathovars of Xanthomonas campestris. It has proven historical use for over 30 years with no documented cases of resistance.

How is Aliette WDG different from the many phosphite products on the market?

Aliette uses aluminum to stabilize the active ingredient, while phosphite products use various salts. Growers typically avoid unnecessary salts that can cause foliar burn or root injury.

Where can Aliette WDG be applied?

Aliette WDG can be applied on ornamentals in nurseries and greenhouses.

What is the re-entry interval (REI) when using Aliette WDG?

The REI for Aliette WDG is 12 hours.

What personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when using Aliette WDG?

Long-sleeved shirt and long pants, shoes plus socks, chemical-resistant gloves and protective eye wear are required.

When should Aliette WDG be applied?

Aliette WDG will work best when applied preventively prior to the onset of disease.

How long will the disease control last?

Aliette WDG controls disease for up to 30 days.

Is there any known disease resistance to Aliette WDG?

There are no documented cases of resistance, and it's considered a low risk to develop resistance as classified by FRAC.

How should Aliette WDG be applied?

Both foliar and drench applications protect the entire plant from the roots to the leaves. Aliette WDG is xylem and phloem mobile, meaning it moves both upward and downward in the plant's vascular system.

Does Aliette WDG control bacterial diseases?

Due to its unique mode of action, it controls Fire Blight and suppresses certain pathovars of Xanthomonas campestris.

Can Aliette WDG be used in rotation with copper-based fungicides?

Yes, however to avoid undesirable copper phytotoxicity, do not apply Aliette WDG and copper-based compounds within 14 days of one another.
