Controlling Mosquitoes and Reducing Callbacks With David Hill, Home Pest Control
Tell us about the area you serve and the types of accounts you have.
David Hill: We are based out of Columbia, South Carolina, but we serve the whole state. With warm weather and humidity throughout most of the year, there are plenty of pest issues in South Carolina.
Why do you rely on Suspend® PolyZone® insecticide for general insect and mosquito control?
David Hill: When we first started our mosquito control program about a decade ago, we had so many customers who called us back saying our treatment wasn’t effective. After that, we reached out to several representatives, and the product that stuck was Suspend PolyZone insecticide
We loved how the chemistry worked, and when we tested it against other products, the results were clear that Suspend PolyZone insecticide was the best choice. We started applying it for mosquito control, and now we rely on it for general insect control.
What are the most important benefits of the product?
David Hill: The biggest benefit is the polymer layer that lasts for at least 90-120 days. This means we can apply it once a quarter for reliable control. It is also an easy product to use. Some competing products are thicker, and that puts additional stress on the applicator.
Do you think Suspend PolyZone insecticide has helped reduce callback frequency?
David Hill: Suspend PolyZone insecticide absolutely reduced our callbacks. When we first started our mosquito control program, we kept receiving calls about treatments not working, and we were losing customers. When we decided to switch to Suspend PolyZone insecticide, that changed drastically. We cut callbacks down significantly — at least in half if not more.
What advice would you give other pest management professionals?
One of the most important things is to make sure technicians are thoroughly trained. They are often the face of the business, so it’s incredibly important to make sure they are prepared to apply products properly and communicate clearly with customers.
