Joins PestVets to Support Industry Growth
Protecting growing populations from the growing threat of pests by investing in the industry
CARY, N.C., July 14, 2025 — Envu is honored to announce it has joined forces with PestVets to strengthen and expand the pest management industry. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, PestVets assists the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) with creating awareness among military veterans of the pest management industry as a potential career choice and educating pest management companies on how to hire and recruit veterans.
“We have a global mission of helping pest management professionals protect the places we live, work, and play from pests,” said Mark Schneid, head of commercial operations North America, Envu. “This demands teamwork, unparalleled focus and a mission-first mindset. These are traits that veterans of our armed services embody. Whether working at Envu or at another pest management company, we believe together we can advance healthy environments for everyone everywhere.” As populations expand and cities grow, they become favorable to pests. Invasive insect species are evolving, making them harder to treat, and are expanding to locations where they weren’t relevant in prior years, increasing the demand for pest management services across the U.S. It’s estimated the global market could reach $50 billion by 2034 — a compound annual growth rate of 5.4%. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of the pest management industry is projected to grow 7% by 2033 — faster than the average for all occupations.
PestVets is working to help fill the industry gaps by connecting transitioning military and veteran personnel to industry professionals. The David Cooksey PestVet of the Year Award honors a U.S. military veteran for their support and commitment to military veterans, their families and fellow pest control professionals.
“My uncle was an advocate for veterans and the pest control industry,” said James Cooksey, south Florida and Caribbean area sales manager, Envu. “As an active National Guard service member, it’s a privilege to work for a company that is deeply aligned with a mission that is in my family’s story. I encourage my colleagues across the nation to get involved and support PestVets too.”
