Envu Launches New Digital Weed ID Guide

New digital weed ID guide aims to help applicators spot threats to infrastructure and safety

CARY, N.C., July 23, 2025 — Envu is providing professional applicators with more resources to spot invasive species that can threaten roadsides, utility rights-of-way, bareground and railways with a new digital weed ID guide. The guide is a one-stop-shop for information on different types of invasive species, formatted specifically to read easier on a mobile phone for those out in the field. The new guide augments the existing field applicator guide offered by Envu, which has application tips and details on Envu products that can help.

“Applicators face a number of challenges every single day, and the threats to safety and integrity of infrastructure continue to grow,” said Mark Schneid, head of commercial operations, North America. “At Envu, we are working with applicators to respond with greater focus. This means working to create the resources they need to succeed, from products to education. This new digital weed ID guide is another asset for applicators who are looking to effectively combat invasive species along rights-of-way, roadsides, bareground sites, and railways.”

The digital weed ID guide features pictures of common broadleaf weeds and grasses that applicators may encounter on the job, genus and species, life cycle, and potential challenges in controlling that weed. In addition to educational resources, Envu also launched a first-of-its-kind online community of professional applicators. Application Nation was launched by Envu in 2024 and since then, the community has grown to include nearly 200 applicators from across the country. Applicators can sign up for Application Nation here.

Envu Industrial Vegetation Management offers solutions for controlling unwanted, invasive or noxious weeds, resulting in enhanced safety, productivity, appearance, habitat and value of land, forests, and infrastructure. From roadways, railways and bareground sites to utility corridors, Envu is working to build a strong reputation by providing applicators the tools and knowledge they need to excel in their field and keep societies moving safely into the future.
