The Envu portfolio of insecticides is proven to protect your plants by helping eliminate the insects that try to wreak havoc on them. Altus® can be used for long-lasting drench applications, Kontos® offers true systemic activity and Savate® provides residual control for all life stages. Together, they’re everything you need to get back to the big picture of running your operation, so you don’t get bogged down by those evil little critters.

Altus

A novel insecticide that can be used on a wide range of plants anytime during the production cycle for targeted control of whiteflies, aphids and other harmful insects. Altus provides systemic and translaminar, broad-spectrum control of sucking pests with flexible, long-lasting spray or drench applications – before, during or after bloom.

Applications

You can utilize long-lasting drench applications in more difficult crops like poinsettias for control that can last up to 42 days (foliar applications can last up to 28 days). Drench application offers flexibility and works longer with broad-spectrum control and tank-mix compatibility.

nursery overview

Insect Control

Insects affected by Altus stop feeding almost immediately. However, it can take up to 4 days for them to die. Since they’re not feeding, they’re not causing plant injury or acting as a vector for disease. Altus has an excellent non-target safety profile, compatible with honey bees, bumble bees and many beneficial insects in all production ornamental settings.

Key benefits:

// Low impact on honey bees, bumble bees and many beneficial arthropods
// No application timing restrictions — can be used before, during and after plant bloom
// Excellent systemic control up to four to six weeks
// Four-hour reentry interval (REI) minimizes business disruption (12-hour REI in CA)
// Rapid and strong feeding cessation effect
// Rotational chemistry reduces risk of resistance
// Can be used in conjunction with IPM programs including many beneficials

Kontos

This long-lasting, fully systemic insecticide/miticide formulation provides highly effective, broad-spectrum control of sucking pests including adelgids, aphids, leafhoppers, mealybugs, psyllids, scales (crawlers), thrips, whiteflies and mites. It offers true systemic activity that moves throughout the plant to better protect against harmful insects.

Applications

Applied as either a foliar spray or a drench for control of many sucking pests, Kontos moves both up and down within the plant xylem and phloem. And it has translaminar activity passing through the leaf to protect both the upper and lower leaf surfaces.

Insect Control

Kontos offers true systemic movement in the plant xylem and phloem, providing ongoing control for up to 30 days. This mode of action makes it ideal for rotation, reducing the potential for insect resistance.

Key benefits:

// Foliar or drench control of many soft-bodied, sucking pests
// True systemic movement in the plant xylem and phloem, protecting new and existing tissue
// Up to 30 days of insect control
// Ideal tool for use in IPM programs
// Rotational chemistry to minimize potential for insect resistance

Savate

You get excellent knockdown and residual control of all stages of mites and whiteflies, including eggs and immature stages with Savate. It provides translaminar movement into leaf tissue for up to 30 days of residual control for better coverage against pests.

Applications

The translaminar movement provides long-lasting residual control by protecting upper and lower leaf surfaces. Its unique mode of action reduces the potential for mite resistance, making it an ideal rotation partner.
